The 2021 spring track season is off to a fast start for Windsor High School athletes, embarking on an eight-week North Bay League schedule that will run until May 26.

Throughout the school year, the Windsor Times will name a male and female athlete of the week.

The girls soccer squad has started off undefeated in their first four matches, winning three more times following their 3-0 season-opening shutout against St. Helena on Nov. 14. Meanwhile the boys are fielding another strong team this year. They, too, started their season on Nov. 20 with a win against Cloverdale, a one-sided 6-0 victory....

Windsor High School athletes were out of the blocks quickly on Saturday, March 7 at the Big Cat Invitational track meet at Santa Rosa, giving local fans a glimpse of great things to come.

Like many boys of his generation, Santa Rosa resident Jack Luceti was introduced to the game of golf by working as a caddie. Jack grew up in San Francisco and started caddying at Harding Park and Lake Merced Golf Course when he was 11 years old. Jack received a couple of cut down clubs from the pro and taught himself the basics. It was an instant love affair between Jack and the game of golf.
