Analy, El Mo combine to earn seven medals at NBL finals

The race for a coveted NCL1 boys basketball championship may come down to the final game of the regular season on Feb. 13, as Cloverdale and Clear Lake do battle on the Eagle’s home court. 

The Lady Eagles are on the verge of their third straight NCL1 basketball championship entering the final week of the regular season, needing just one win in their last two outings to claim the pennant outright. 

Windsor girls slip by Ukiah, 42-37 in NBL showdown

The Jaguars saved their best basketball for the final stretch of the North Bay League season, upending heavily favored Cardinal Newman, 57-55 on an emotionally charged Senior Night on Feb. 5.

The Lady Jaguars completed a season of growth and development in their final stretch of North Bay League basketball, gaining a split in home and away games with Cardinal Newman and Ukiah. 

An 8th grade boys upset victory is this week’s Our Lady of Guadalupe Church’s Catholic Youth Organization game of the week. Coaches Steve Lustenberger and Wayde Jaskela led the boys to a 33-28 victory over St. Francis of Solano. The win improved their record to 2-7.

The El Molino boys soccer team has local bragging rights over neighboring Analy for the first time in over two decades, completing a season sweep over the Tigers with an exciting, 3-2 win on Feb. 7.

Analy and El Molino boys basketball teams wrapped up a challenging three-month journey this week, each playing out the string in their respective North Bay League schedules.
