Devin Savano and I are proud to be the coaches of some of the Windsor junior golf teams. Most of the kids on the team have been between the ages of 8 and 14. They hit a ton of golf balls on the Windsor GC driving range and they play hundreds of holes each spring and summer. 

The Jaguars continued to hone their skills at the 50th annual San Marin Green & Gold Wrestling Tournament in Novato on Dec. 8, with six of seven participating athletes coming home with top-five medals.

Things did not go as scripted in the Greyhounds’ home football finale on Oct. 29 against visiting St. Vincent, as the Mustangs scored in nearly every conceivable fashion to spoil Healdsburg’s Senior Night en route to a 48-8 romp. 

The Healdsburg High School girls tennis team maintained a firm grip on second place this week in the North Bay League standings, claiming an even split in a pair of matches with Piner and Ukiah.
