Lady Eagles land 3rd seed in NCS soccer playoffs
The NCL-1 soccer champion Lady Eagles will start a new season this Saturday, Nov. 9 when open the North Coast Section Division-3 playoffs at Jack Allen Stadium. Game time is set for 7 p.m.

All good things eventually come to an end, and so it went for the Eagle’s JV squad on Apr. 22 in dropping its first game of the season to visiting Kelseyville.  Cloverdale starter Chris Harms (5 IP, 2 hits, 1 run, 8 Ks) had just a workout to show for his solid efforts, pitching the first five innings before turning the ball over to Michael McDermott (2 IP, 6 hits, 5 runs, 3 Ks) in a 6-5 loss. Boys Soccer Team Wins at Home
The Healdsburg boys soccer team, with their 3-2 record so far this year, has found much of their success in games at home—including an 8-0 trouncing of St. Helena last Friday night. The girls, meanwhile, are undefeated at 7-0.

Slow Start for Volleyball Squad
It was only last weekend, in a tournament in St. Helena, that the Greyhound girls got their first win, a 2-0 shutout over Ferndale. But at least it was a win—and if the volleyball team is burdened by a 1-11 record so far this year, new coach Jonathan Nuttall hopes the win helps turn the tide.
