The Cloverdale High School JV softball team had a great showing at its own tournament last weekend, winning two of three games to take home a second place trophy.
Sunny skies and breezy conditions met a small Cloverdale contingent on April 2 at the annual Chip Castleberry Invitational Track meet hosted by Analy High School in Sebastopol. The meet included hundreds of athletes and more than two dozen participating teams, including Cloverdale, Analy, El Molino, Fort Bragg, Healdsburg, Montgomery, Petaluma, Piner, Maria Carrillo, Rincon Valley Christian, San Mateo, Sonoma, Technology and Windsor.
The Cloverdale Lady Eagles are breathing rarified air this week as they continue an historic basketball season that has landed the team in the CIF Nor Cal State Championship Tournament for the first time since 2002.
Cloverdale High School varsity basketball teams enter the final stretch of league play this week, hopeful that a strong finish will land them a high seed in the upcoming North Coast Section playoffs.
