As is often the case, track and field is among the first spring sports to get underway. The big event opening the season was the Big Cat Invitational, held at Santa Rosa High on Saturday, March 1. Last weekend came the Gaucho Relays, at Casa Grade High. This weekend it's the Field Event Jamboree in Santa Rosa.

“I am proud of this team,” said Coach Osborn following the Willits victory. “They put in the work and have continued to improve. They are each other’s biggest fans and hopefully we can continue winning for one more game."

When it came down to the North Coast Division 4 playoff tournament, Healdsburg found itself ranked 9 out of 12 teams. So going the distance to the finals—scheduled to take place this coming weekend—was always a long shot...

Cloverdale hopes to unseat Willits as top dog in NCL-1  

The Cloverdale Lady Eagles are breathing rarified air this week as they continue an historic basketball season that has landed the team in the CIF Nor Cal State Championship Tournament for the first time since 2002.

The Healdsburg Unified School District (HUSD) serves a population of 1,236 students, which reflects an increase in enrollment from last year. HUSD generated an increase of 7.2 percentage points in their graduation rate over one year, for a 2025 graduation rate of 96.7 percent.

Last year, the girls team had their best season in Clark’s half-decade as a coach, winning gold in the division and bronze in the league. This year, they’re down a couple of swimmers to 11 team members—just under the ideal threshold of 12—but they’ve been holding their own in a tough field.
