Police Log, Dec. 23-29

On Christmas Eve, at 8:40pm, multiple RPs in the city indicated they heard gunshots or fireworks. One RP stated the sound was by the river, and another stated the sound came from the area of March Avenue and Lupine Court. Officers responded, but did not see or hear anything in either area. Aggrieved reindeer?

Police Log, Dec. 16 – 22

Monday, Dec. 16: An officer stopped a vehicle on Matheson Street at Center Street for suspicion of having expired registration. The vehicle displayed a license plate that did not belong to the vehicle. Through a search of the vehicle, officers located a loaded handgun and about half an ounce of suspected methamphetamines. A 36-YO woman and 51-YO man were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and having forged or altered registration.

Here's one: "3:18pm The Reporting Party (RP) on Hudson Street indicated that a transient was camped on the property and the RP wanted the person to leave. The RP did not want to press charges. An officer responded but was unable to locate the transient. The officer gave the RP advice and forwarded the information to the therapist on staff for possible follow up."

Monday, Nov. 11, 4:20pm: An accident occurred on Grant Street which involved a vehicle hitting a 7-year-old female pedestrian.  The girl was conscious and not bleeding, and her father declined medical assistance. The driver of the vehicle left her contact information with someone before leaving the scene.
