Short Film Favorites
The excitement and sense of discovery that a good film brings to its audience is doubly alive in the short film format. The genre is defined by the industry as 40 minutes or under including credits, but most of the entries in the annual Healdsburg International Short Film Festival are much shorter than that. The films shown this weekend were those voted “audience favorites” at last September’s festival. Two separate programs, dubbed Volumes 1 and 2, are screened three times overall at either 2pm, 5pm or 7:30pm on Saturday and Sunday. $20 per show at the Raven Theater, 115 North St. healdsburgfilm.com.
