The Windsor Middle School Spartans track team wrapped up a great spring campaign last week at the league championships.

The Windsor Middle School Spartans wrapped up an outstanding track season at the League Championships last week, recording top-three finishes for each of the seventh and eight grade teams.
The seventh grade girls led the way with a first place team effort, thanks in large part to an historic day from sprinter Bella Chavez. The talented Chavez re-wrote the WMS record books, shattering records in both the 100 and 200 Meter races.
“Those records had been held since 1976 and 1985 respectively,” WMS coach Pete Sullivan noted. “It was another fantastic season, with all the excitement and fun you’d expect from great middle school competition.”
