SMART train is getting closer to Healdsburg

Daily service to Windsor on SMART
The Town of Windsor is requesting Federal Railroad Administration approval to implement “quiet zones” as the trains approach the station. Routine train horn use at designated crossings will be eliminated between Shiloh Road and the station, except in emergency or safety-critical situations. The hope is that the quiet zones will become effective as early as mid-July, though it will possibly be somewhat later.

Klezmatics return to Healdsburg for the Holidays

Housing Market Shows Sharp Divide

What makes Healdsburg’s market particularly unique is the continued dominance of non-primary residence purchases. In 2024, 61% of all purchases were for second homes or investment properties, with rural properties showing an even higher rate at 76%. This tracks with 2023 when 64% of properties were purchased as non-primary residences, writes a local realtor.

Taking the nostalgia trip through town

The courtyard outside True West on Friday eveniong was a “scene” in more ways than one: Many were there to see and meet Cameron Crowe and Ben Fong-Torres—legendary names in the rock movie canon—as they enjoyed that famous Healdsburg Hospitality, mixed and mingled, and enjoyed the movie 'Almost Famous' for the umpteenth time.
