‘Season to Sparkle’

Museum Exhibit

“Our Favorite Toys” features toys and photos of the children who loved them. Museum visitors will delight in seeing Barbies, Teddy bears, games, stuffed animals, toy trucks and more, as well as watching the Christmas train toot through town. Santa Collection

Judy and Steve Everett of Healdsburg have been collecting Santa figurines for over 40 years. They are on display until the end of the month at Mazzocco Sonoma during tasting room hours, seven days a week, 11am to 5pm at 1400 Lytton Springs Rd., near the airport.

Art Nite

First Thursday Art Nite is Jan. 1, 2026, in Healdsburg, with 20 participating galleries. Show an “Artnite” passport at participating restaurants and wineries for a free treat, pour or special perk. Downtown, 5-7pm, details at artnitehealdsburg.com.

Elephant Rides

The new year at the Elephant starts off like every month does, with a first Sunday show by Spike Sikes and his Awesome Hotcakes, featuring the multi-instrumentalist in a revue of rockabilly blues. Tasting Music

Furthermore Wines, which doubles as Cobb Wines during the day, continues to showcase local musicians most weekends, including Friday Jan. 2 with the Christian Foley-Beining Jazz Trio (with Kendrick Freeman and Tom Shader) from 5:30-8:30pm. Lobby Jazz

Ease into the new year with the “NOT King Cole” trio, playing without a drummer and featuring tunes from the golden age of jazz. Arts Opening

The art exhibit “In the Clouds” with Sonoma County artist Gen Zorich will hold an opening reception on Saturday Jan. 3 with the artist, at 3:30pm at Upstairs Art Gallery, 306 Center St.

History Talks

Remember the History Talks in the Plaza last summer? They’re back with a winter series, to be held monthly at the Healdsburg Regional Library. First up: “Healdsburg 101,” on Tuesday Jan. 6, starting at 6pm for an hour of fascinating historical insight from Nita Miller and Joanne Taeuffer. Healdsburg Library Conference Room, 139 Piper St.

Iranian Cinema

In Gabbeh, Mohsen Makhmalbaf weaves a gorgeous tale very much like the colorful, hand-woven rug, the gabbeh, for which the film is named. A window into a different time and place, this 1966 Iranian film in Farsi screens Thursday Jan. 8 only at The 222, 7pm, with discussion to follow. City Closed

The City of Healdsburg will be closed for the holidays, from Dec. 24, 2025, to Jan. 2, 2026. Additionally, the City Council meeting scheduled for Monday Jan. 5 has been canceled. The next City Council meeting will be Tuesday, Jan. 20.For additional events, visit healdsburgtribune.com/calendar.
