It has been almost 30 years since Rodney King made his iconic plea of “Can’t we all just get along?” following days of violent rioting across Los Angeles that left 63 people dead. The riots were ignited by the dismissal of charges against four L.A. cops who were videotaped bashing King’s head and body with 63 blows from their billy clubs.

I was on a call with a friend the other day. She just happened to mention how she has been spraying newly developing weeds growing in the cracks of her walkway with the widely popular vinegar, dish detergent and salt recipe. It’s wonderful that she was getting a jump start on the young weeds, since the best time to manage them is when they are newly sprouted. However, unfortunately this internet recipe that has been trending does more harm than good.

Cancel culture vs. counter culture
Why do we keep hearing so much about ‘cancel culture’? First of all it’s not a real thing. You can’t cancel culture, especially someone else’s. But, just using the words can cause harm and hurt. It can be a form of bullying, angry mob mentality and destructive lack of tolerance.
