OLG teams capture CYO hoops titles
It was an historic weekend for Our Lady of Guadalupe Church’s Catholic Youth Organization basketball program. Five boys teams came home with the championship plaque while another grabbed a 2nd place medal. OLG went three for three on Saturday.

OLG CYO basketball game of the week
Lady of Guadalupe Church will be sending five teams of boys to this weekend’s North Bay Catholic Youth Organization championship games. This comes after some very exciting games in the semi-final round. Leading the pack will be Coach Josh Leo’s 6th grade Division 5 team as they beat St. Elizabeth 32-15 to remain undefeated at 11-0. They are slated to play St. Peter in the final.
No. 1 Eagles stumble hard in quarterfinals
Forget about silver linings and all of that stuff. The Cloverdale Eagles, the top seed in the North Coast Section Division V boys basketball playoffs, are done for the season after falling 53-44 to No. 8 seed Redwood Christian of San Lorenzo on Saturday in the quarterfinal round at Cloverdale High School.
Crusaders put Eagles to the sword
The St. Bernard Crusaders ended Cloverdale's season with a 59-34 victory over the Eagles on Saturday night in the quarterfinal round of the North Coast Section Division V girls basketball playoffs in Eureka.
