Girls Eye Repeat But Winning Comes First
Redwood League play kicked off this week with a Tuesday game at home against Elsie Allen (currently 5-5). Although complete stats are not available, the Greyhounds easily bested the Lobos, 62-9, scoring almost at will and shutting down the visiting team’s offense.Â
El Mo hosts inaugural Lady Lions Wrestling Tournament
Forestville was the epicenter for the historic, inaugural Lady Lions Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 23, as the El Molino High School gymnasium filled with some 16 teams and nearly 200 female wrestlers.
League play winding down for junior golf
On July 23 Bennett Valley Golf Club hosted the Redwood Division of the North Bay Junior Golf League. Individual play started at 11:45 a.m., with the team tournament starting around 3:30 p.m. Oakmont and Bennett Valley finished tied for first place with a score of 108.Â
Analy exodus: senior footballers quit before final game
For an aging generation of athletes, quitting has never been an option. The thought of bailing out in the face of adversity before the end of a season would have meant letting yourself and, more importantly, your teammates down.
