As is often the case, track and field is among the first spring sports to get underway. The big event opening the season was the Big Cat Invitational, held at Santa Rosa High on Saturday, March 1. Last weekend came the Gaucho Relays, at Casa Grade High. This weekend it's the Field Event Jamboree in Santa Rosa.

The race for a coveted NCL1 boys basketball championship may come down to the final game of the regular season on Feb. 13, as Cloverdale and Clear Lake do battle on the Eagle’s home court. 

Throughout the season the Reveille will publish JV and varsity Chargers football players of the week, as named by coaches.

The varsity baseball Eagles made the most of abbreviated diamond action last week, turning back visiting Clear Lake, 4-3 in the league opener on March 21.

In an exciting year of sports at Cloverdale High School, the Eagles finished off a successful spring in great fashion with impressive individual and team efforts. The tennis team brought home an elusive championship, softball continued to have a dominant program and the track and field teams produced nine All-Leaguers en route to an impressive showing at the NCS Class A Championships.

Things are heating up on the local high school softball fields this month, as El Molino and Analy continue to tune up for the upcoming league season.

The postseason has arrived for Analy and El Molino girls basketball teams, as both get set for what is hoped will be strong playoff runs.
