CHS Eagles softball and baseball teams notch wins
Cloverdale varsity baseball and softball teams resumed their winning ways on the high school diamond last week, combining for three wins in abbreviated action due to a late spring storm.
Championship Run Comes Up Short
“It is hard for a season like ours to end so abruptly,” said coach Lago on Monday. “One day we have plans to go deep into the playoffs and the next we run into a private school with extraordinary talent and size.”
Running Eagles compete at Chip Castleberry Invitational track meet
Sunny skies and breezy conditions met a small Cloverdale contingent on April 2 at the annual Chip Castleberry Invitational Track meet hosted by Analy High School in Sebastopol. The meet included hundreds of athletes and more than two dozen participating teams, including Cloverdale, Analy, El Molino, Fort Bragg, Healdsburg, Montgomery, Petaluma, Piner, Maria Carrillo, Rincon Valley Christian, San Mateo, Sonoma, Technology and Windsor.
Soccer Teams Pursue Final Victories
The high school soccer season is in its final weeks, rounding out the winter season with a handful of games remaining for both boys and girls teams. While neither squad can boast a winning record, both deliver exciting games against their North Bay opponents, with home games played under the lights at the Healdsburg High School field on University Street.
