Virginia M. Bernardi passed away suddenly on Friday, December
27, 2002. She was a truly remarkable woman who always put others
first. Her sudden loss has left us all with grief and despair. Born
on December 31, 1935 in Oklahoma, Virginia and her family moved to
California in the 1940’s. She attended Yreka High School and went
on to graduate with a degree from Oregon Tech. Virginia is survived
by her beloved husband of 44 years Fred Bernardi, her sons Gregory
and Steven Bernardi, both of Cloverdale, Mitchell Bernardi of
Healdsburg, her brother Howard Isom of Chico, and five grandsons
all of Cloverdale. Visitations were held in Cloverdale. A Mass of
Christian Burial was held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in
Cloverdale on January 2, 2003. Interment followed at Shiloh
Cemetery in Windsor. Donations in Virginia’s memory may be made to
the American Heart Association of the Redwood Empire, P.O. Box 844,
