Healdsburg Happenings, June 12-19
Healdsburg High's graduation was last Friday, but this coming week the 'celebration' won't let up - the Healdsburg Jazz Festival, Vamos al Tianguis, and the No Kings march, Saturday noon at the roundabout.
June is ‘jazz month’ in Healdsburg
The Healdsburg Jazz Festival seems as if it must be modeled after a film festival, with multiple venues offering different artists throughout the day. There are the featured events, sure–a Juneteenth Celebration, a Father’s Day Concert, headline shows at Bacchus Landing – but it’s the little gigs that count.

Sundays in the Plaza is an alternative to Tuesday’s big concert, from 1-3pm at the Plaza, this week featuring the Healdsburg Community Band. Gary Johnson will conduct big-band favorites, two-steps, marches, folk music, Broadway/movie music, a Spanish overture and the finale of the William Tell Overture. Free.
The Ramble gets back with Ziggy Marley
It ain’t BottleRock, and that’s a good thing. Although the Napa-based music festival shares the same initials as Healdsburg’s BloodRoot, one won’t find miles-long traffic jams, $250 tickets or caviar corndogs here—nor is one likely to find stars like Justin Timberlake, Green Day or Public Enemy. But BloodRoot has plenty of talent taking the stage: four bands over an eight-hour day of music, including one certified international star, Ziggy Marley.

From parade to livestock, it’s HFFCF weekend
Perhaps the city’s crown jewel event is the Healdsburg Future Farmers Country Fair and the accompanying Twilight Parade. It’s all happening this week for the 76th time. And it's theme even rhymes: Keeping Ag Alive in 2025.
