It’s about time a Michael Jackson tribute band showed up in town. “Rock With You – the Michael Jackson Experience” features two MJ tribute artists heading a 10-plus-piece live ensemble, claiming to be the only MJ tribute in the world to have 100% live vocals. Independence Day begins in Healdsburg at 10am with the traditional Kids Parade and Duck Dash, live music and activities for all including games, races and music. More fun later this week with our Healdsburg events calendar.

Sundays in the Plaza is an alternative to Tuesday’s big concert, from 1-3pm at the Plaza, this week featuring the Healdsburg Community Band. Gary Johnson will conduct big-band favorites, two-steps, marches, folk music, Broadway/movie music, a Spanish overture and the finale of the William Tell Overture. Free.

The popular summer Tuesday concert series continues with the celebrated Tom Rigney and Flambeau performing authentic Zydeco and Cajun music on Aug. 5. It's also National Night Out for law enforcement so get there early to meet the cops and claim your space.

History Talks: The docents of the Healdsburg Museum once again present programs at the Plaza on Saturdays, 10am to noon. “The Annals of Alexander Valley” is this week’s topic; show up early as attendance seems to get higher every weekend. 'Holes,' an early Shia LaBeouf movie from 2003 about a mysterious desert camp for delinquents, should make for an entertaining PG family night at the Healdsburg Plaza.
