Windsor Town Council requests Civil Grand Jury action to remove Foppoli
In a statement dated May 6, the Town Council of Windsor announced it has formally requested that the Sonoma County District Attorney authorize grand jury proceedings against at-large Mayor Dominic Foppoli due to his “willful or corrupt misconduct in office” related to sexual assault allegations made by several women.
Windsor purchasing Wall Street property as part of Keiser Park expansion
Windsor is taking another step toward realizing its plan for Keiser Park, after the town council unanimously approved the purchase of a property at 625 Wall Street. The land will be used to help develop an aquatic facility and multi-use recreation center.
A bright spot
The final installment in the series of public art installations from Jessica Martin and other local artists is now up and includes a group of light-inspired sculptures and art, an exhibit that’s aptly named “Illuminations.”
Sebastopol City Council preview
At the next Sebastopol City Council meeting, scheduled for April 20, the council will be revisiting the possible location for an art piece created by Ned Kahn, reviewing the city’s annual Level of Service Report and discussing whether or not it wants to allow the mayor to send a letter on behalf of the council calling for the resignation of Windsor's mayor. Stage face-off: Revenge vs. rivalry
Local audiences seeking a solid presentation of an American theatrical classic have two very diverse options right now. The Raven Performing Arts Theater hosts Stephen Sondheim’s massive macabre musical, "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street," while The 222 offers Sam Shepard’s more intimate fraternal drama, "True West." Both run in Healdsburg through Nov. 8.
