As the DMV stated, “This amendment to Waymo’s existing deployment and driverless testing permits allows the company to operate in new regions of both Southern and Northern California.” That statement continues, “In Northern California, the service area now includes the broader Bay Area and Sacramento," which means Healdsburg.
Payne’s experience in fire defense helped protect river areas, homes
While fire crews, dozers, hand crews and strike teams worked on building lines to contain the Walbridge Fire to prevent it from coming down to Korbel, Hacienda and other river communities, Bobby Payne was checking on homes in the lower Russian River area and safeguarding properties and hard to reach areas with retardant.
Million dollar grant to expand high school construction training program
The Career Technical Education Foundation Sonoma County has been approved for a $1 million grant from Tipping Point Community, a prominent Bay Area funder that fights poverty in the Bay Area, to support expansion of a successful local youth training program called the North Bay Construction Corps. The funding is part of their Emergency Relief Fund, established to support the North Bay’s recovery and rebuilding efforts following the devastating fires last year that damaged thousands of homes and businesses.
