Harvest crews picked 41 tons of grapes at the Corazón del Rio vineyard on Eastside Road in a single night on September 8. The crews started at 9 p.m. and worked until dawn. The photo above was taken at about 4:30 a.m. The harvest workers were in their ninth hour of picking and showed no sign of tiring. The grapes will be made into Ferrari-Carano Russian River Chardonnay.

Collaboration helps fund field trips

The Healdsburg Education Foundation (HEF) is teaming up with the Healdsburg Elementary/Charter PTO and the Healdsburg Kiwanis Club to fully fund field trip opportunities for all local public elementary school students from kindergarten through fifth grade.
