SCOE discusses vaccinations and school reopening in community letter

Sonoma County Superintendent of Schools Steve Herrington released a letter to the community detailing the current status of school reopening and school staff vaccinations, and how the Sonoma County Office of Education (SCOE) is guiding those plans.

PG&E working to make power shutoffs shorter and smaller

PG&E is unrolling a plan to try and make its Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) shorter in duration and smaller in size this wildfire season. The utility said that it’s also aiming to provide more timely and accurate communications to its customers about PSPS’ by bolstering the website capacity and improving customer alerts. The PSPS plans were discussed during a special webinar on May 6 for Sonoma and Napa county customers.

Santa Rosa man cited after trespassing in Healdsburg home following hospital escape

A 27-year-old Santa Rosa man was issued a citation for trespassing on May 2 after entering a home on Westmont Court after escaping the ambulance bay at Healdsburg District Hospital with an IV still in his arm.

Geyserville Fall Colors and Vintage Car Festival

Rick Tang, a local photographer, spent Sunday morning in Geyserville, checking out the Geyserville Fire Protection District pancake breakfast and the annual Fall Colors festival. Hungry people came from all over to attend the breakfast and show support for first responders. The festival included crafts, games, scarecrows, a pumpkin pie contest and the always-popular display of vintage cars in downtown Geyserville.
