Boys & Girls Club hosts holiday gift drive
With the support of the community and individual partners, Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin provided over $33,000 in gift cards to 73 families in need this holiday season.

A day of daffodils and remembrance in Cloverdale
Cloverdale’s annual Day of Remembrance once again saw students being handed bouquets of brightly-colored daffodils as they walked across the Cloverdale High School campus. High schoolers walking toward their lunch period on Feb. 25 were given a bouquet of 16 daffodils and a tag with the names of the people the daffodils are meant to honor — young people, former Cloverdale High School (CHS) students, who lost their lives to cancer.

Commentary: A decade of standing for peace
Ten years ago this month, more than 100 Healdsburg Peace Project members and supporters gathered on the Plaza to protest the threat of a U.S. invasion of Iraq. The protesters believed that the U.S. had no right to invade a sovereign country and that the reasons for war given to the American people were lies. History eventually confirmed this, and the price paid has been horrible.
