At the last meeting before their July break, the Windsor Unified School District focused on finishing up the previous year’s business and getting ready for the coming year, alongside some program and support plans for students in the coming year.

School board finalizing school reopening date, reviewing audits

A return to partial in-person learning is nearly upon us, and the Cloverdale Unified School District Board of Trustees’ special meeting on Wednesday, March 24, finalizes some of the details for reopening. The board will also review reports about both the district and Measure H audits and hold a public hearing from contract negotiations between the district and the Teachers Association of Cloverdale for the 2020-21 school year. The school board will be meeting at 4:30 p.m. — a departure from its regular meeting time — and the meeting will be held via Zoom. For the full agenda, including the Zoom link, click here. 

Sebastopol City Council to consider prohibiting fireworks and reviving city life

The Sebastopol City Council will discuss reviving public life again at its upcoming meeting Tuesday, May 4 at 6 p.m. The meeting, held over Zoom, will also include a public hearing on an ordinance to prohibit fireworks and a resolution on water conservation measures.

Sebastopol City Council preview

The Sebastopol City Council  is set to discuss a bevy of items including conservation measures for commercial and industrial water customers, adopting its final budget and discussing whether to have a lottery for its firework event permit, among others at its regular meeting July 20. In addition to regular council business, the council will be viewing a presentation from Sebastopol Police Chief Kevin Kilgore on the status of recommendations set forth in the independent review of the police department performed by Jerry Threet, as well as on the Open Government Policing PILOT Program.
