Weird goings-on at Westminster Woods
On Friday, Nov. 15, at 3:40 p.m., Sonoma County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call from a Westminster Wood employees who said a group of people wearing robes and masks had blocked both entrances to the camp with vehicles, preventing anyone from leaving. One person was reported to have a gun.
Special CUSD meeting Tuesday covers summer maintenance, special job descriptions
The Cloverdale Unified School District Board of Trustees is holding a special meeting Tuesday, June 1, at 4:30 p.m. The special meeting will only address a small handful of items, including a presentation about the district’s summer maintenance project list and consideration of job descriptions for three expanded learning opportunities teacher job descriptions. The meeting will begin at 4:30 p.m. instead of the usual 6 p.m., and the Zoom link for it can be found here.
Diaper and supplies giveaway set for March 28 in Windsor
A coalition of nonprofit groups are planning a free diaper distribution on March 28 at the Huerta Gymnasium. The drive-thru event will run from 1 to 3 p.m. in the parking lot of the Huerta Gymnasium in Windsor at 9291 Old Redwood Highway.
Cloverdale garden club scholarships open to current or future SRJC students
Scholarship applications for the Cloverdale Green Thumb Garden Club scholarships are now open to Cloverdale High School or continuing Santa Rosa Junior College students. Applications opened on Jan. 21 and will close March 1.
