Here's a look at what all the commotion was about downtown on Sunday morning, March 17, during the St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Windsor Día de los Muertos is offering safe, socially-distanced fun events throughout October. Scheduled events include a display of altars on the Town Green throughout the month of October, a free sugar skull crafting kit giveaway, a Día de los Muertos Lowrider Car Show at the farmers market and a youth portrait competition and art show.

Some members from Windsor High School Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán (MEChA) said that they had difficulty making friendships and finding peers with similar experiences as theirs before joining. Now, they have embraced helping their community with volunteer work while enhancing their Latinx culture simultaneously.

Roughly 20 people gathered in front of the Westamerica Bank at the intersection of Main Street and Bodega Avenue late Friday afternoon, April 16, in Sebastopol. They gathered to protest the killing of Daunte Wright, a 20-year-old Black man fatally shot by police during a traffic stop on April 11 by then-police officer Kimberly Potter in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.

The Healdsburg Certified Farmers’ Market is opening its 42nd season two weeks early on Saturday, April 18. Like many essential services around the county, the market is having to navigate a new set of rules and procedures for its opening to ensure that the operation adheres to social distancing and increased health and safety practices.

After years of having a policy that doesn’t allow food trucks in Healdsburg — save for special permitted, city approved events — the Healdsburg City Council is interested in exploring options, such as a pilot program or a city policy change, for allowing food trucks in Healdsburg.
