The Healdsburg City Council had a unanimous vote last week in approval of changing the city’s three-stage water shortage contingency plan of the Healdsburg Municipal Code to a six-stage plan, aligning with the California Department of Water Resources recommendations on water contingency plans.

In a statement on June 18, the County of Sonoma, together with eight other counties and cities, including Santa Rosa, announced that they and PG&E have accepted a mediator’s proposal of $415 million to resolve the collective cities’ and counties’ wildfire claims. The mediator’s proposal is exclusive of and does not affect the claims of any residents, individuals or businesses. The collective amount of $415 million will be allocated among each of the nine public entities in an allocation process yet to take place.

The Town of Windsor’s new utility box painting program called Discovering Windsor Through Art aims to help beautify the community and is dedicated to exhibiting the visual arts outside the constraints of museums or galleries. The 2021 theme of “community healing” is designed to highlight the resiliency of Windsor and help the community heal through public art.
