CUSD considering instructional calendar, creation of middle school dean on Tuesday
The Cloverdale Unified School District (CUSD) Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting this week. The board will meet over Zoom, beginning at 4 p.m., to discuss the 2021-22 instructional calendar, take possible action on the creation of a middle school dean job description for Washington Middle School and consider the creation of a teacher on special assignment job description.
Sister City Friendship Dinner is a tasty, multicultural success
On Saturday, Jan. 25, Sebastopol World Friends (SWF) hosted the Sister City Friendship Dinner. Almost 300 people, including SWF board members, dignitaries, and dozens of volunteers, gathered in the Memorial Hall at the Enmanji Buddhist Temple to celebrate the organization’s accomplishments of the past year and its sister city relationship with Takeo, Japan, and Chyhyryn, Ukraine. The dinner showcased food and cultural entertainment from both countries.
Sebastopol City Council introduces ordinance to restrict RV parking
The Sebastopol City Council is moving toward approval for an ordinance to limit recreational vehicle parking and the growth of establishments like Morris Street’s RV encampment, opting not to create a permitting process as of its Jan. 18 meeting.
