Security cameras on the horizon for Windsor Town Green
The Town of Windsor will go ahead with the prospect of installing up to $25,000 worth of security camera equipment on the Town Green, after a unanimous vote at the Sept. 1 Windsor Town Council meeting. The council directed staff to further explore the option and come back with policies and procedures at a later meeting.
Healdsburg man convicted for assaulting police officers
A Healdsburg man was found guilty on all charges on March 20 on a four-count misdemeanor complaint stemming from an incident on Dec. 30, 2016. David Robert Brewer, 36, was sentenced Monday by Judge Julie Conger after a jury found Brewer guilty of two counts of battery on a peace officer, resisting a peace officer and battery.

Monte Rio homicide suspect in custody following shelter in place order
The shelter in place order that had been in place for Monte Rio has dropped now that the individual suspected of shooting and killing a man in Monte Rio has been arrested without incident, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office reported in a Nixle alert issued at 4:32 p.m. Tuesday, March 1.

3:55am A vehicle on Dry Creek Road at Kinley Drive was stopped for lacking properly working lights. A 52-YO man was arrested and brought to county jail for violation of probation and on two outstanding warrants regarding possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine and failing to stop at a solid red light.
Downtown drivers put businesses at risk
Three recent incidents in downtown Healdsburg have residents wondering if it’s safe to dine at a parklet or even walk the sidewalks. In all cases, drivers not fully in command of their vehicles were involved in property damage accidents, though thankfully no one was hurt.
