Registration deadline nearing for Occidental, Timber Cove elections

The deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 2 Consolidated Election is Oct. 18. The election only applies to some voters — for west county, this means voters in the Occidental Community Services District and the Timber Cove County Water District.

American Legion Crab Feed, Feb. 4 at Villa

American Legion Sotoyome Post 111 is hosting its annual crab feed on Saturday, Feb. 4 at the Villa Chanticleer in Healdsburg. The menu includes all-you-can-eat crab, garlic bread and salad. Dinner also includes beer, wine, water and coffee. There is no pasta, no raffle and no auction to distract attendees from fresh crab. Proceeds from this event support the charitable programs of the local legion post. The event is $60 a ticket. For tickets call 431-2328 or 695-2663.

Healdsburg Senior Living facing care and staffing complaints

The California Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing Division received a complaint on Dec. 18, 2020 regarding Healdsburg Senior Living, alleging that the facility has insufficient staffing and staff training, and isn’t meeting its residents’ needs.
