SLIDESHOW: The Healdsburg Egg Hunt

Hundreds of kids showed up at Fitch Mountain School Saturday morning for the annual Healdsburg Rotary-sponsored Easter Egg Hunt. The goodies were made possible by Rotary volunteers, plus 2,000 eggs donated by Big John’s Market. The Foss Creek after school program colored the eggs and Spoke Folk Cyclery donated three new bicycles for raffle prizes.

ANALYSIS: Survey says … life is good

The Healdsburg City Council got an earful of good news last week, as an economic conditions report and a summary of the results of a community survey both indicated overall satisfaction with life in Healdsburg and economic success factors, even as the survey offered mixed reviews of hotels, tourism and the community’s direction.

Humane society to close vet clinic

The Humane Society of Sonoma County’s accredited veterinary hospital has been serving local pet owners since 2005. “We are extremely grateful to the pet owners who have entrusted us with the care of their beloved pets”, said Executive Director Cindy Roach. “Clients come here because they know how dedicated our team is to providing compassionate care – and also because they know the proceeds of our services support our shelter programs.”

Salud! Free health fair in Healdsburg, April 14

A new multi-city health event series offers free wellness services to the north county during the month of April. Salud! is a series of health and wellness events, held in Cloverdale, Healdsburg and Windsor, which will feature free health screenings for vision, hearing, blood pressure, dental, dermatology and more.
