Police Log, March 31-April 6
On Thursday, at 6:51pm, a man with his dog unleashed was fully undressed on the RP’s property on Yew Circle. The man walked onto the property to gain access to the river. Officers arrived on the scene, but the RP did not want to press charges. The man was given appropriate resources.
City council candidate Vaughn Higginbotham’s candidate statement
Two seats on the Sebastopol City Council are up for election on Nov. 3. Both of the incumbents, Michael Carnacchi and Neysa Hinton are seeking re-election. Challengers in the race are Evaristo "Evert" Fernandez, Diana Rich and Vaughn Richard Higginbotham. Sonoma West Times & News submitted questions to the candidates. Trunk or Treat, Oct. 31
The Cloverdale Citrus Fairgrounds was home to this year's annual Trunk or Treat event on Oct. 31, giving kids the opportunity to trick-or-treat out of the trunks of community members' decorated cars.Â
Budget talks continue at June 21 council meeting

West County TOT ties the fates of west county emergency services, schools, hotels together
Voters will decide whether to levy an additional 4% transient occupancy tax (TOT) for guests of west county hotels and vacation rentals to increase funding for coastal emergency services and west county schools in a March 2, 2021 election.
