Healdsburg Hospital recognized for opioid safety practices

Healdsburg District Hospital (HDH) has been recognized two years in a row for its work on opioid safety and care on behalf of its local patients and the community. The recognition was awarded by Cal Hospital Compare (CHC) and Healdsburg was one of 53 other hospital sin California to win the Honor Roll status.

New fund to help undocumented immigrants affected by Sonoma County fires

A coalition of immigrant service providers and advocates have launched the UndocuFund for fire relief in Sonoma County to provide direct assistance to undocumented Sonoma County residents who are victims of the Northern California fires. As of Oct. 15, $85,000 had been raised by local supporters and donors. One hundred percent of all donations will go to victim support, with the first $50,000 in donations matched by The California Wellness Foundation.

Corazón Healdsburg receives pair of grants to help with Kincade recovery

Corazón Healdsburg announced on Friday, Oct. 16 that it secured two substantial grants to help northern Sonoma County recover from fires and better prepare for the next crisis. Both the Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP) grant of $250,000 and the American Red Cross grant of $485,000 are providing aid for Kincade Fire survivors, and specifically the more than 400 local families who were impacted economically by the Kincade Fire but did not receive other recovery funds.

Sebastopol City Council to discuss serving homeless locals, municipal finance services
