With every month comes a multitude of activities in your public library, along with occasional challenges. Such was the case in March with the news that our event featuring author/illustrator Todd Parr would need to be rescheduled. Todd had unexpected family business to attend to — but he’ll be back on Thursday, April 13 at 4 p.m. Again, this will be a fun event with reading, drawing, and chatting with Mr. Parr while he signs books (on sale at the event from Copperfield’s) as well as a donation opportunity: bring a new stuffed animal or book to donate to children living in shelters in Sonoma County.

Healdsburg resident Christine Webster has been riding tricycles, or trikes, for 11 years since a stroke in 2008 rendered her unable to drive a car. After putting countless miles on her old trike, a local couple decided to buy her a brand-new electric trike.
Exhibit of abstract painting by Marian Murphy til Dec. 1
An exhibit of Healdsburg artist Marian Murphy’s abstract art is on display at the Cloverdale History Museum, until Dec. 1. After a career as a mother and secretary, Murphy at the age of 38, fell in love with photography. Studying at the Ohio Institute of Photography, she became a professional photographer and enjoyed her career as a portrait photographer in Healdsburg for 30 years.
