Healdsburg council to return to hybrid meetings on March 21

Healdsburg city council chambers
Starting March 21, the Healdsburg City Council will return to hybrid meetings, meaning people can attend the meeting in-person at City Hall or virtually via Zoom. Those who attend the meeting in-person will be required to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status and social distancing measures will be implemented as well as a 50% capacity limit for the council chambers.

Breweries join forces to raise money in wake of fires

Within a day of waking up to the devastation and fear caused by the fires, several local breweries had come up with a plan to create a special brew in support of those affected. Richard Norgrove, owner and brewmaster of The Bear Republic Brewing Company got a phone call at 2 a.m. in Oregon from his head brewer Rob Kent. He knew something was wrong, but that was just the start of it.

County case rates continue to decline as orange tier possibilities draw closer

Sonoma County’s COVID-19 case rate and testing positivity rates continue to decline and, according to Sonoma County Health Officer Dr. Sundari Mase, the state is expected to adjust the orange tier case rate metric once 4 million doses of vaccine have been delivered to the most disadvantaged communities, meaning the county may be able to move into the orange tier of the state’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy within the next two to three weeks.
