YUM — The California Association of Meat Processors held its Cured and Processed Meats Championships at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo on Feb. 21-23. The recent competition was extremely competitive, and judges announced the winners in 18 categories, with more than 272 entries competing for prizes.

Healdsburg shows off new and improved city hall

City staff opened the new and improved city hall to residents last Thursday, Nov. 8, for a tour and plaque unveiling in celebration of the completion of the 14-month long renovation project.

A day of daffodils and remembrance in Cloverdale

Cloverdale’s annual Day of Remembrance once again saw students being handed bouquets of brightly-colored daffodils as they walked across the Cloverdale High School campus. High schoolers walking toward their lunch period on Feb. 25 were given a bouquet of 16 daffodils and a tag with the names of the people the daffodils are meant to honor — young people, former Cloverdale High School (CHS) students, who lost their lives to cancer.
