City will evaluate how to fill Gold’s vacant seat

When Healdsburg Mayor Leah Gold steps down from her council seat effective June 30, the city council will have three ways to find a replacement, according to David Kiff, the city’s interim city manager.

A different day at the beach

Back to the drawing board for dog park plans

At the Feb. 10 meeting of the Parks & Recreation Commission, staff presented the outcome of nearly two years of work on adding a new dog park to Windsor, including two options for new locations. However, concerns about the chosen locations and communication with the public and potentially impacted neighbors ultimately saw the commissioners sending the plan back to staff for further outreach and analysis.

On Friday, March 3, Healdsburg Jazz will present the Marcus Shelby Quartet with guest vocalist Terrie Odabi performing "Lift Every Voice and Sing.” This will be a celebration of African American music from Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, Mahalia Jackson to Abbey Lincoln, Nina Simone, Curtis Mayfield, and Marvin Gaye.
