The pedestrian bridge at the Warm Springs Dam at the Lake Sonoma Visitor’s Center and hatchery is a heavily trafficked and popular place for folks who want to take in the sites or get a glimpse of fish, and while the old bridge seems to have a sag, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers San Francisco Division says the bridge is sound.
Shelter in place is working to flatten the curve of COVID-19
Modeling data from the Imperial College of London reveals that Sonoma County’s shelter-in-place order is significantly flattening the curve of COVID-19, and reducing the mortality rate for those over the age of 65. In doing so, the curve is also being stretched out, meaning the surge in cases will likely occur in about 60 days, requiring about 1,500 hospital beds.
Appreciation for last year’s mayor
The first Healdsburg City Council meeting of 2018 began in a traditional manner, with the new mayor thanking and acknowledging last year’s mayor for a year of service and presenting him a plaque that featured a gavel and inscription.
