The Alexander Valley Film Festival is back for its seventh year, moving to new spring festival dates, expanded offerings
Healdsburg students crowned co-champ of local spelling bee
Two Healdsburg students co-championed the North Sonoma County Regional Spelling Competition in Santa Rosa earlier this month. Fitch Mountain Elementary School fifth grader Lily Villano and St. John the Baptist Catholic School sixth grader Gavin Curran, demonstrated their spelling skills at the competition, held March 5.

12:08pm An accident occurred on East Street at Plaza Street. The RP indicated she pulled out of a construction site and hit another vehicle or the other vehicle hit her. The accident was never determined to be a hit and run, and there was no visible damage to the RP’s vehicle. An officer responded and took a report.

As the sun came up over the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds with the thick smell of smoke in the air, people camping in their cars were starting to stir, getting up to walk their dogs or waiting in line for the Petaluma Regional Library to open adjacent from the grounds.
