Rapper J.Lately releases album named after Bodega Bay
Sebastopol-raised rapper J.Lately is back with a new album named for and greatly inspired by the peaceful flow and freedom of Bodega Bay. “Bodega,” released Aug. 27, is like “a love letter,” he said, to Sonoma County where he grew up and to the person his experiences in the area helped make of him.
Lawsuit filed against WSCUHSD over El Molino
The Community Alliance for Responsible Education (CARE) has filed a lawsuit against the West Sonoma County Union High School District (WSCUHSD) with the Sonoma County Superior Court over the board’s March 10 vote to consolidate Analy High School and El Molino High School into one school, or “close El Molino High School,” according to a press release sent to Sonoma West Times & News Thursday afternoon, April 22.

Dance Studio Opening at Healdsburg Flower Farm
A group in town called the Healdsburg Dance Collective, founded by four ex-pro dancers early last year, is finally opening their own physical space after a year-and-a-half of working with other fitness studios in town to offer classes, rehearsals and performances.
