Body found at Cloverdale park
Update: According to the Cloverdale Police Department, the death appears to be from natural causes and there was no evidence of foul play. The identity of the individual could not be released as of 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 9, since the police department hadn't received confirmation that next of kin has been notified.

Local Girl Scouts learn about car care
According to the Girl Scout Law, Girl Scouts must ‘Make the World a Better Place.’ Recently, Dale Johnson, owner of All-Around Auto Windsor, made the world a better place, and acted in accordance with both the Girl Scout Promise and Law by offering a free car care course to Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts in Northern California. Johnson is not only the owner of All-Around Auto Windsor, he is a husband father, and grandfather; when his children were younger, they also participated in scouting.

Cloverdale Car Show returns this Saturday
After a one-year hiatus, the 27th annual Cloverdale Car Show will be back this weekend, lining downtown Cloverdale on Sept. 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Singletree’s Van Praag remembered for her generosity and grilling mastery
Friends and customers of Singletree Café’s Nancy Van Praag these days are remembering her in two different ways. Most are already missing her kitchen mastery, especially her full breakfast plates and her flavorful assortment of barbecued meats. Others are thinking first about her “big heart” and endless generosity to faithful customers, her employees and her adopted Healdsburg community. Van Praag, a native of New York and a Sonoma County resident for 30 years, died Aug. 22 after a long and complicated illness. She was 70 years old.
Security cameras on the horizon for Windsor Town Green
The Town of Windsor will go ahead with the prospect of installing up to $25,000 worth of security camera equipment on the Town Green, after a unanimous vote at the Sept. 1 Windsor Town Council meeting. The council directed staff to further explore the option and come back with policies and procedures at a later meeting.
