Community forum: Where to shelter the homeless this winter?
On Saturday Sept. 23 there will be a community conversation from 10 a.m. to noon at the Healdsburg Library to help plan for ways to shelter our homeless community this winter.
From the Library
With every month comes a multitude of activities in your public library, along with occasional challenges. Such was the case in March with the news that our event featuring author/illustrator Todd Parr would need to be rescheduled. Todd had unexpected family business to attend to — but he’ll be back on Thursday, April 13 at 4 p.m. Again, this will be a fun event with reading, drawing, and chatting with Mr. Parr while he signs books (on sale at the event from Copperfield’s) as well as a donation opportunity: bring a new stuffed animal or book to donate to children living in shelters in Sonoma County.
Council to mull over potential uses for city-owned sites
The Healdsburg City Council will hold a special workshop on Jan. 21 at 4 p.m. prior to their regular meeting at 6 p.m, to discuss the future of the city-owned Cerri Building and site at 3 North St. They will also discuss affordable housing and mixed-use plan options for two other sites, 155 Dry Creek and Saggio Hills, a 91.11-acre development in the north end of town off of Healdsburg Avenue.

No new business at next council meeting

The council will be viewing one presentation, approving its consent calendar and discussing no new business items. The meeting will take place virtually over Zoom and will be broadcast on the city’s YouTube channel. To view the agenda, click here.Â
