City pursuing Project Homekey application for L&M Motel temporary housing site
The city of Healdsburg is interested in creating a 21-unit temporary housing program with support services for Healdsburg’s chronically homeless at the L&M Motel on Healdsburg Avenue, and on Oct. 18, the city council took an early step forward in pursuing the potential project.

School board finalizing school reopening date, reviewing audits
A return to partial in-person learning is nearly upon us, and the Cloverdale Unified School District Board of Trustees’ special meeting on Wednesday, March 24, finalizes some of the details for reopening. The board will also review reports about both the district and Measure H audits and hold a public hearing from contract negotiations between the district and the Teachers Association of Cloverdale for the 2020-21 school year. The school board will be meeting at 4:30 p.m. — a departure from its regular meeting time — and the meeting will be held via Zoom. For the full agenda, including the Zoom link, click here.

Stage face-off: Revenge vs. rivalry
Local audiences seeking a solid presentation of an American theatrical classic have two very diverse options right now. The Raven Performing Arts Theater hosts Stephen Sondheim’s massive macabre musical, "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street," while The 222 offers Sam Shepard’s more intimate fraternal drama, "True West." Both run in Healdsburg through Nov. 8.
