A West Side Elementary School art project has taken the nation by storm. Since its launch late last month, the delightful Peptoc Hotline project — a hotline you can call to hear words of wisdom and uplifting messages from kindergarteners and grade school students — has caught the attention of countless news outlets, including CNN and NPR, radio stations and even the Drew Barrymore Show.
Senior appreciation dinner returns to the Villa Chanticleer on Dec. 5, in person and drive-thru
The highly anticipated senior appreciation dinner is returning this year as an in-person event at the Villa Chanticleer on Dec. 5. Since the dinner was organized as a drive-thru event last year Healdsburg seniors and senior center staff are excited to once again meet in person and break bread together for the popular event.

Deadline nearing for Citrus Fair exhibit, contest entries
Entry forms to exhibit at this year's Cloverdale Citrus Fair are due by Friday, and there's still time to enter the parade, diaper derby, talent show, and the Lily Lemon/Oran Orange contests, according to the fair. After being postponed from its regular weekend, this year's Cloverdale Citrus Fair is April 21-24.

The life expectancy gap: Healdsburg highest, Russian River lowest
The Russian River area has the lowest life expectancy rate of anywhere in Sonoma County while Healdsburg residents tend to live the longest, according to a new Summary Measures of Health report released by the Sonoma County health department.
