If you haven’t already been to the library this summer, we invite you back for yet more expanded hours and services. As of this month, we are fully open for business Monday and Tuesday from 12–7 p.m. and Wednesday through Saturday from 10–5 p.m. Many of you are still taking advantage of our curbside pick-up service, and we encourage you to do that if you would prefer.
Windsor tweaks draft of objective design standards
At a special study session on June 30, the Windsor Town Council and the Windsor Planning Commission sat down to discuss a draft of the town’s Multi-Family Residential Objective Design Standards.
‘Hustley, bustley and wonderful:’ The Sebastopol Area Senior Center hosts first in-person lunch
On a warm and bright Friday morning, all the windows in the Sebastopol Area Senior Center’s dining room were open, and brightly colored lanterns hung from the ceiling. Patrons sat at tables of four, their conversations underscored by gentle music from the traditional Appalachian guitar player who sat in the corner. It was the center’s first in-person communal lunch since the pandemic set in 16 months ago, and west county’s senior community had been eagerly waiting to be back in the sunlight and fresh air, sharing a meal together.
Artist discusses his whale of a work at Sebastopol Center for the Arts
Berkeley artist Jos Sances appeared before a sold-out crowd at Sebastopol Center for the Arts on Wednesday night, July 14, to discuss his work, “Or, The Whale,” which has been on display at the art center since its reopening on June 24.

The Cloverdale Police Department (CPD) is reopening the rape and murder case of Sara Ann Geer, a13-year-old Cloverdale resident who was found dead behind a Main Street apartment building on May 24, 1982.
Sebastopol hit with two cyber breaches
The City of Sebastopol announced on July 16 that two unrelated cyber incidents have downed the police department’s computer system and ripped off $1.2 million from the city’s reserves through a “fraudulent email request.”

Plaza reclaims its place as Healdsburg’s hub
Returning for its 10th year is Dia de Muertos, the Mexican folk holiday that has found a new home north of the border since 2016. Sponsored by the City of Healdsburg’s Community Services and the local nonprofit Corazón Healdsburg, Dia de Muertos was first recognized locally to mark Corazón’s inaugural community event, where it introduced the newly established organization to Healdsburg.
