A request from Healdsburg’s vice mayor to pursue a building reach code update that would include a ban on all-natural gas — creating all-electric reach code — couldn’t get enough traction Feb. 7 from fellow city council members in order to move forward despite resident support of such a ban.

In a letter sent to SoCoNews and posted to Facebook on Monday, Evan Kubota, one of three candidates in Windsor’s April special election to fill a long-vacant fifth town council seat, announced he will officially withdraw his candidacy in support of candidate Mike Wall.

Information guides for Town of Windsor special election going out Thursday

On March 3, Sonoma County voter information guides will be going out in the mail to nearly 16,000 Town of Windsor voters for a special election taking place on April 12 to fill a vacant at-large Windsor Town Council seat. This election only applies to Town of Windsor voters.
