Cloverdale City Engineer and Public Works Director Mark Rincón is leaving his post on June 29, following a job offer from the city of St. Helena. Rincón has been with the city of Cloverdale since July 2016.

The city of Cloverdale is hosting a community workshop about its draft of the city’s Local Hazard Mitigation Plan and its General Plan Public Health and Safety Element. The plans help identify how the city can respond and protect community members from potential natural hazards and disasters.
Sculptor Spotlight: Sculpture Jam Collective
“Derrick,” a sculpture by Sonoma County Sculpture Jam artists Beth Hartmann, David Furger, Jeffrey Zankel, John Packard, John Draper and Gordon Carter of Sebastopol, has been silent since being installed on July 22, 2020. “Derrick” has decided to break the silence. This sculpture has a number of messages for passerby on the east side of Cloverdale Boulevard between East Second Street and East Third Street. Sonoma County to hand over vaccine distribution to state administrator Blue Shield
Starting March 7 Blue Shield, the state’s third-party COVID-19 vaccine administrator, will be taking over as Sonoma County’s vaccine distributor.
Spring Break Tinker Academy aims to inspire middle school girls in science and technology
The Girls Tinker Academy is expanding in 2021 to include a spring break offering for up to 48 middle schoolers in Sonoma County to engage in maker pedagogy and encourage the exploration and development of technical, mathematical and artistic abilities.
No new business at next council meeting
The next meeting of the Cloverdale City Council, scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. will be small, and likely short in duration. The council will be viewing one presentation, approving its consent calendar and discussing no new business items. Sebastopol council endorses Climate-Safe California Campaign goals

PreK-TK, senior projects and the Facilities Master Plan on Jan. 20 WUSD agenda
