Sebastopol City Council to consider prohibiting fireworks and reviving city life

The Sebastopol City Council will discuss reviving public life again at its upcoming meeting Tuesday, May 4 at 6 p.m. The meeting, held over Zoom, will also include a public hearing on an ordinance to prohibit fireworks and a resolution on water conservation measures.

What’s up at the next Sebastopol City Council meeting, Jan. 21

The next Sebastopol City Council meeting is on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 6 p.m. at the Youth Annex, 435 Morris St., Sebastopol. Topics include the unveiling of the new Libby Park play structure design, a presentation about Sonoma Clean Power, a possible reconfiguring of crosswalks across Petaluma Avenue near the downtown plaza and more.

The agenda for the Aug. 19 Windsor Town Council meeting was never a long one, but after the Walbridge Fire burst into being and sent nerves fraying as it crept closer to the town’s limits, the agenda was tightened even further.

Partially-virtual Citrus Fair begins Friday

The Cloverdale Citrus Fair is a few days away. This year’s fair includes an in-person drive-thru food frenzy and a bevy of online contests and exhibit entries — some of which will be viewable from a distance during the fair food frenzy. While many of the different pieces of this year’s fair will be accessible online from the comfort of home, the food frenzy will run from Friday to Sunday, Feb. 12-14, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Sonoma County draws closer to red tier as case rate continues to decline
