Council approves concept, future home for ‘Sebastopol Spire’

Local artist Ned Kahn has a clearer path forward for his art piece “Sebastopol Spire,” which is being commissioned by the city of Sebastopol. After going back to the drawing board to find a different site for the piece following a February council meeting, the Sebastopol City Council unanimously approved both the concept and future site location of “Sebastopol Spire” during its meeting on April 20.

Five people have filed applications for vacant council seat in Cloverdale

As of Tuesday afternoon, June 1, the city of Cloverdale received five applicants for its vacant Cloverdale City Council seat. According to city clerk Irene Camacho-Werby, Joe Palla, Eric Sanders, Maeta Emmons, Nicole Garcia-Hinchliffe and Jenny Candelaria-Orr filed applications for the seat.

As the Walbridge Fire comes further under control, the one section of the town of Windsor that had been under an evacuation warning has been removed. The Evacuation Warning for Zone A (referred to by the county as Zone WI-A) has been lifted. This zone is north of Windsor River Road to the northern town limit and west of Highway 101 to the western town limit.
